Foldable Gooseneck USB Camera | Mini Bullet 1080P UVC

Compact 1080P mini bullet USB camera with a bendable metal gooseneck and fixed 3.7mm pinhole lens for Android devices, maintenance and tight-space equipment viewing

Details

Goobuy UC-505 is a compact 1080P USB UVC camera built around a mini bullet camera head, bendable metal gooseneck cable and fixed 3.7mm pinhole lens. The gooseneck can be bent and positioned to move the camera viewpoint away from an Android device, PC or other USB host, making UC-505 useful for equipment maintenance, cabinet inspection, electronics repair and other nearby spaces where a conventional webcam or the host's built-in camera is difficult to position.

Put the Camera Where You Need the View

The screen and camera do not always belong in the same place.

A phone, tablet or laptop may be convenient for viewing the video but too large—or simply in the wrong position—to see the actual target.

UC-505 separates the camera viewpoint from the host.

Its compact mini bullet camera sits at the end of a bendable metal gooseneck, allowing the camera to be positioned closer to equipment, components and restricted viewing areas while the Android device or PC remains where it is easy to operate.

Bend. Position. View.

UC-505 → USB UVC → Android / PC → Live Video

What Real Problems Does UC-505 Solve?

1. The Host Is Too Large to Reach the Target

A phone, tablet or laptop cannot always be placed close to a machine component, behind equipment or inside a cabinet.

UC-505 moves only the small camera head toward the viewing area.

2. The Built-In Camera Faces the Wrong Direction

Using the camera built into a phone or tablet means moving the entire device to get the required view.

UC-505 lets the display remain in a convenient position while the external camera looks somewhere else.

3. A Normal USB Webcam Is Too Bulky

Desktop webcams are designed to sit on monitors.

The UC-505 mini bullet camera head occupies much less space around equipment, electronics and inspection areas.

4. A Flexible Cable Does Not Hold the Camera Where You Need It

A conventional soft USB cable carries the signal but does not provide useful camera positioning.

The metal gooseneck on UC-505 can be bent into the required shape to help position and support the camera head during viewing.

This is one of the main reasons to choose UC-505 over a conventional mini USB camera.

Goobuy UC-505 is a mini bullet 1080P USB UVC camera with a bendable metal gooseneck and fixed 3.7mm pinhole lens, designed to move the camera viewpoint away from an Android device or PC for equipment maintenance, cabinet inspection, electronics repair and nearby tight-space viewing

Bendable Metal Gooseneck

Position the Camera Without Moving the Host

The gooseneck is not simply a USB cable.

Its bendable metal structure allows the camera section to be curved, folded and repositioned for different nearby viewing positions.

This is useful when the camera needs to look:

  • Around an equipment edge
  • Into a cabinet
  • Behind a component
  • Toward a repair area
  • Down onto a workstation
  • Into a nearby restricted space

Shape the Gooseneck → Position the Camera → View on Your Host

Unlike a motorized camera, positioning is completely mechanical: bend the gooseneck to the required position before or during inspection.

Mini Bullet Camera Head

Small Camera. Less Space Around the Target.

The compact bullet-shaped camera head is designed for locations where a conventional webcam or larger camera housing would interfere with the surrounding equipment.

The metal camera housing also provides a more practical external camera head than an exposed PCB module for handling, positioning and routine inspection use.

Why the Mini Bullet Shape Matters

Smaller footprint around equipment

Easier positioning near components

Housed camera head instead of exposed PCB

Better match for gooseneck positioning

UC-505 is particularly useful when the camera needs to reach a nearby restricted viewing position, rather than being permanently embedded inside the customer's product.

Fixed 3.7mm Pinhole Lens

A Compact Lens for Close Equipment Viewing

The standard UC-505 uses a fixed 3.7mm pinhole lens.

The small lens profile helps keep the front of the mini bullet camera compact while providing a practical view for nearby equipment, maintenance and inspection applications.

There is no zoom mechanism to adjust during use.

UC-505 is supplied as a fixed-lens camera, not a 2.8–12mm varifocal camera.

For buyers, the important question is therefore not “How do I adjust the zoom?” but:

Does the standard UC-505 view cover my target at my actual working distance?

This should be checked in the real application before volume use.

Where UC-505 bullet UVC camera Fits

Equipment Maintenance

See Areas That Are Difficult to View from the Normal Working Position

UC-505 can place the camera closer to a component while the technician keeps the phone, tablet or laptop in a convenient viewing position.

Typical uses include:

Equipment troubleshooting

Mechanical maintenance

Service inspection

Viewing behind equipment

Checking nearby internal components

The gooseneck is particularly useful when the camera needs to approach the target from an angle rather than straight ahead.

Electrical & Smart Cabinet Inspection

Move the Camera Viewpoint Inside the Cabinet

A technician may not want to place an entire tablet or laptop inside or directly beside a cabinet.

The UC-505 camera head and gooseneck can be positioned toward the required area while video remains visible on the external host.

Typical viewing targets include:

Connectors

Wiring

Modules

Indicators

Internal components

Restricted areas behind cabinet hardware

UC-505 provides visual access; it does not perform electrical measurement or automatic fault diagnosis.

Electronics & Appliance Repair

Keep the Screen Visible While the Camera Looks at the Work

The bendable camera can be positioned around a repair bench or equipment housing while both hands remain available for the actual work.

Typical applications include:

PCB repair

Electronic equipment servicing

Appliance maintenance

Component inspection

Repair documentation

This can be more convenient than repeatedly moving a phone to keep its built-in camera pointed at the repair area.

Android Phones, Tablets & Field Terminals

Add an External Camera Viewpoint to a Compatible Android Device

UC-505 can connect to a compatible Android host through USB.

This allows the Android device to act as the screen while the gooseneck camera is positioned somewhere else.

Typical hosts include:

Android phones

Android tablets

Field-service terminals

Commercial Android devices

Maintenance tablets

The Android device must support USB OTG / USB Host, external UVC cameras and a compatible UVC camera app.

Inspection Workstations & Test Benches

Position a Small Camera Around the Work Area

UC-505 can also be used with a PC or other compatible USB host at a workstation.

The gooseneck can position the camera above, beside or around a nearby target without requiring a conventional desktop webcam mount.

Typical uses include:

Repair benches

Manual inspection stations

Electronics workstations

Assembly demonstrations

Test benches

Visual work recording

A Compact Inspection Camera — Not a Long Borescope

The words Gooseneck Camera and Inspection Camera can sometimes create the wrong expectation.

UC-505 is designed for nearby tight-space and equipment viewing.

It is not a long, thin borescope probe intended to travel deep inside pipes, engines or very narrow cavities.

Professional FAQ

1. Will the gooseneck actually hold the camera position after I bend it?

The metal gooseneck is designed to provide mechanical positioning for the lightweight UC-505 camera head.

You can bend it toward the required nearby viewing position rather than relying on a loose USB cable.

How well a specific shape holds depends on the bend, camera orientation and installation, so the actual working position should be tested for your use case.

2. Can I bend the UC-505 gooseneck repeatedly?

The gooseneck is intended to be repositionable during normal inspection and viewing use.

However, it is a mechanical structure rather than an infinitely flexible cable. Repeated extreme folding at the same point or very tight bends should be avoided to reduce unnecessary mechanical stress.

3. Is UC-505 the same thing as a USB borescope?

No.

UC-505 has a compact mini bullet camera head on a bendable gooseneck and is intended mainly for nearby restricted-space viewing.

A traditional borescope usually uses a much smaller probe on a long cable for deep pipes, engine cavities or narrow internal passages.

Choose according to where the camera actually needs to reach.

4. Why would I use UC-505 instead of my phone's built-in camera?

A phone's camera stays attached to the phone.

That becomes inconvenient when you need the camera behind equipment, inside a cabinet or pointed at a repair area while keeping the screen where you can comfortably see it.

UC-505 moves the camera viewpoint away from the phone or tablet.

5. Will UC-505 work with my Android phone or tablet?

Only if the device supports the required USB functions.

The Android host should support USB OTG / USB Host and external UVC cameras, and a compatible UVC camera application is required.

Compatibility varies between Android devices and apps, so the exact host should be tested.

6. Can I plug UC-505 into Android and use the normal phone Camera app?

Usually you should not assume that.

Many built-in Android camera apps are designed only for the phone's internal cameras.

UC-505 requires an application that supports external USB UVC cameras.

The availability and functions of these applications depend on the Android device and software environment.

7. What lens comes with the standard UC-505?

The standard version on this page uses a fixed 3.7mm pinhole lens.

It is not the 2.8–12mm varifocal configuration.

There is no optical zoom adjustment during use.

8. Is the UC-505 waterproof?

No waterproof rating should be assumed for the standard UC-505.

The metal housing and gooseneck structure do not make it an IP67 camera.

If the camera must operate in rain, moisture or another exposed environment, a waterproof USB camera such as UC-533 is the more appropriate Goobuy platform.

9. Can UC-505 be used for inspection inside electrical cabinets?

It can be useful for visual inspection where the compact camera and bendable gooseneck help obtain a better view.

However, UC-505 is a camera only. It does not provide electrical isolation, electrical measurement or safety certification for working around energized equipment.

The user remains responsible for safe inspection procedures.

10. Can the gooseneck be used as a permanent machine mounting arm?

UC-505 is primarily intended for flexible camera positioning and light-duty viewing.

If your application involves continuous heavy vibration, impact or a safety-critical permanent installation, a mechanically fixed camera and dedicated bracket may be more appropriate.
